Living with a neurodivergent brain, in a neurotypical world, can present challenges and opportunities that are unique to each individual. As a neurodiversity coach I help clients and families navigate their own journey and help clarify areas of adaptation and accommodation. A foundation to work we embark together draws from identity development and the meaning one ascribes to differences (grief, acceptance, celebration, etc.). Utilizing my experience in research and clinical settings, I bring a unique lens of expertise to effectively coordinate care if other treatment professionals are involved, working as a cohesive team to support thriving. As a coach, I can support clients in the following ways:
Executive functioning skills
Accountability with goals
Processing where neurodiversity tendencies fit within one’s identity
Communication and boundaries with family and loved ones
Coordination of care among treatment professionals
Identification of personal limits and needs surrounding socialization
